PML-N urges a consensus-based approach in decision-making

ISLAMABAD: PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif has said his party was not consulted on the decision to launch an operation in Khyber Agency, or raise the prices of CNG and petrol.

Speaking to the media at Islamabad airport, Sharif said rising inflation and unemployment were causing huge difficulties to the nation. He also asserted that the pre November 3rd judges have still not been restored, and that the matter stands unresolved.

On his talks with U-S envoy Richard Boucher, Sharif said he had told Boucher that Pakistan's internal affairs will be managed by the government, and should not be interfered with by other countries.

On the operation in Khyber, he said the coalition had decided to use a policy of dialogue in the tribal areas during a high level meeting two and a half months ago, and that he did not know what had changed since then.

He asserted, however, that PML-N was only siding with PPP to end the dictatorship from Pakistan.
