Houston, Texas: Cricket Enthusiasts thronged Chat-&-Paan this past Sunday to witness the historic ICC World Twenty20 win of Pakistan at Lords, London, UK. Special breakfast and big screen high resolution TV facilities were arranged by Baig Sahab of Chat-&-Paan. Similar arrangements were made at other local restaurants and at private homes, where family members, relatives and friends gathered to enjoy a most happy day for Pakistan after a long time People went berserk when young Pakistani fast bowler Aamer bowled wicket maiden over to begin the final getting the prize wicket of Dilshan, who was intelligently trapped into scooping the ball and a superb catch taken by young Shahzaib. Sri Lankans were tottering by the end of the power play six overs loosing 4 wickets and loud slogans could be heard from hundreds in Chat-&-Paan. At one stage, Sri Lanka were 70/6 in 13 overs and game was on way to become one-sided, when Captain Sangakkara (64*) and Mathews (35*) took it to a competitive 138/6 in 20 overs.
Pakistanis were off to a good start and reached 48 in 7 overs, before Kamran Akmal (37) got stumped out to the first ball bowled by seasoned Jayasuriya. Captain Sangakkara used interesting tactics, where every next over was bowled by a new bowler. That did disturb Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik for a while, but they stuck to their plan of choosing which bowler to charge and which to play safe.
