I'm taking Hrithik's legacy forward: Ranbir Kapoor

With the emergence of Ranbir Kapoor as the new face of Pepsi and John Players, the brands’ trusted ambassadors Shahrukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan have been elbowed aside. But Ranbir, who has immense respect for his seniors in the film industry, sees it differently.

At the logo launch of John Players at ITC Hotel in Mumbai on Thursday, Ranbir, the brand’s ambassador, told the reporters: “As far as replacement is concerned, Shahrukh Khan is a legend and his contribution to Pepsi was immense. I am taking forward his legacy. As far as John Players is concerned, Hrithik Roshan is a style icon for whom I have immense respect. I believe that I am fortunate enough to get a chance to take his legacy forward.”

Quite surprisingly, the actor admitted that he isn’t really conscious of the latest fashion trends or brands.

“I am not brand conscious at all. I don't understand fashion. God has been very kind to me that I could sign up with this brand and I hope my knowledge on fashion increases,” he said.

Ranbir added that more than wearing expensive clothes it’s the comfort level that counts.

“It's not about wearing expensive or brands. It's something that makes you feel comfortable. There are no strict rules. It's about what you want to wear and how you carry it,” said Ranbir.
