Fuzlullah not in Swat: Corps Commander

SWAT: Corps Commander Peshawar Lt. Gen Masud Aslam said Tehreek-e-Taliban Swat’s commander Maulana Fazlullah has fled from Swat and he is being chased, Geo News reported Thursday.

Talking to media on the occasion of inauguration of Shu’hada Park here, he said the security forces are giving a chase to Swat Taliban’s chief Maulana Fazlullah, who escaped during security forces operation there.

He said interrogations with all the arrested extremists completed and they would soon be presented to the courts.

Aslam said while talking to media on the inauguration of a public library earlier, the air service would soon be resumed to boost tourism during the summer, adding the Army will stay in the area until peace is completely restored.
