‘PSNT Election Postponed’

Dallas: The General Election of Pakistan Society of North which were scheduled to be held on March 14, have been postponed for indefinite period owing to Temporary Restraining Order by The State of Texas District Court, Tarrant County.

According to sources, Candidates of two slates of PSNT Election have failed to solve their issues and matter went to the Texas District Court to resolve.
The ongoing disputed intensified when PSNT election Committee unexpectedly announced the election date despite considering one Presidential Candidate for PSNT Election, Mr Naeem Chaudhary left on a short visit to Pakistan.

In view of his visit, Two Presidential Candidates raised their concerns and requested PSNT Election Committee to postpone the election till 15 to 20 days and general body meeting be called after Naeem Chaudhary return from Pakistan, but PSNT Election Committee and ruling group (PSNT Administration) ruled out any delay in election and decided to hold election on March 14.

After receiving no response from PSNT Administration and Election Committee, Vice President of Naeem Chaudhary group, Hafiz Raiz filed the petition in 348th District Court of Tarrant County , and got the Temporary Restraining Order.

In a court Order, copy obtain by Pakistan Chronicle, The Court summoned PSNT Genereal Secretary , Mr Ashraf Motiwala to restrain March 14 election and General Body meeting.

A large number of PSNT members told Pakistan Chronicle that they are not going to cast their vote, according to one PSNT member who declined to allow their names to be used, told Pakistan Chronicle that he wont cast his vote because current PSNT Election Committee is corrupt and Current PSNT Administration is riddled with corrupt officials.
